I have never had a house party whilst at home on my own...and to be honest never even thought about it...why the hell would i want to invite loads of people into my house to get drunk just so they can ruin it through stupid drunken behaviour...not my idea of fun at all! Yes i agree we can learn from other peoples mistakes but it doesnt hit you as hard when they are other peoples mistakes...for example going for a night out and losing your phone because of being drunk...you see the affect it will have on a friend but having it happen to yourself is a totally different learning curve! I agree teenagers need guidance but mummy and daddy arent goning to be there to pick the pieces up all the time and tell you what right on wrong...thats the idea of growing up and the fun of it! Personally i think life experiences shape people into what they grow up to be...if teenagers are wrapped up in cotton wool and shielded from the big wide world...boy they are going to get a shock when they go out solo!
